Sometimes you stumble upon situations so horrifically bad that you can't help but burst out chuckling. It's like your brain tries to process the sheer magnitude of unadulterated absurdity and just gives up, opting for a weak, desperate giggle as a coping defense.

But then, you remember that it's not really hilarious. It's just plain bad. And the laughter you experienced morphs into a groan.

In the end, you are left with a sense of confusion. You start ruminating about the meaning of it all. Was this a joke?

Or were we just Very bad living in a simulation gone wrong?

Dreadful Day Ever

It all started with my case of bedhead hair. I couldn't figure it to look presentable. As I was dashing out the door, I stumbled and badly all over my new shoes. To make matters worse, I was totally late for a very important appointment.

By the time I reached my destination, I was completely drained. This day, this terrible day will be forever remembered as a day to forget.

It all started out badly with a simple mishap/incident/screw-up. But then things went from bad to absolutely terrible. A series/chain/cascade of unfortunate/awful/disastrous events unfolded/occurred/piled on top each other, leaving me feeling like I was in a nightmare/horror movie/comedy of errors. It's the kind of situation where you just want to scream into a pillow.
